I have taken photographs all my life and in recent years, I have become semi-profesional, selling prints and working for clients on commercial photography projects.

Creating images that are appealing, I think, is more about Inspiration than Technique. Of course you need to know how to capture an image and process it, but you also have to have the Idea and Inspiration - and that's the tough part!

My inspiration comes from many sources but I guess that having a restless and curious mind is a big factor. As I travel around I see lots of potential for making great images. That's why it takes me longer than most people to get where I'm going!

Also, living close to the sea, mountains and countryside in Wales provides wonderful creative subject matter. There are unbelievable sunsets, amazing cloud formations, a sometimes savage sea, people on the beach and things that the tide brings in. After 5 years here it's now time to move on to pastures new so our house is now for sale never a dull moment my wife says.
