Winter Silence

Cwm Idwal, Snowdonia National Park

Taken on a still winter afternoon, this long exposure softened the water of Llyn Idwal into something close to stillness. The shoreline curved gently, the stones faded into mist, and the snowy cliffs held their silence.

There was no wind, no sound but breath and shutter. I stood for a long time before taking the frame — not waiting for light, just letting the quiet settle in.

In places like this, time doesn’t stop. It just slows enough for you to notice it moving.
