Quiet Company
Porth Tyn Tywyn, Anglesey
Sometimes the beach opens up so wide it feels like you could walk for miles and never run out of space. The tide had pulled far out, leaving a slick mirror behind. The clouds were heavy but not threatening — just passing through.
Two people walked ahead and stopped to look at each other, the only movement on the whole stretch of sand. I wondered what they were saying? Words off love and affection or an argument? Hopefully the former. From a distance, they looked like a punctuation mark — small, steady, perfectly placed in the silence.
