The Pull of Shore and Sky
Last Light, Ynys Llanddwyn, Anglesey
This was taken late in the day — just as the sun began to drop behind the cloud bank. The tide was still high, and for a few minutes the water caught the colour of the sky and scattered it across the surface.
I remember the sound: the slow, rhythmic draw of waves folding back from the shore. Everything was moving, but gently. The rocks held their place, unmoved, while the sea danced around them — full of motion, full of light.
It didn’t last long. But that’s the thing about moments like this — they don’t need to.
